About Unit
From 2022 Units services and service staff are part of Sikt - Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research.
Units mission was to serve as an innovative driver of digitalisation, to utilise new technology to improve efficiency and quality and to safeguard access to knowledge. Unit was to help drive digital development in Norwegian higher education and research forward.
For Unit, this will entail developing technology to revitalize, streamline and improve everyday life for our users. We will turn ideas into solutions and create services that add value.
Unit plays a key role in the government’s digitalisation policy. We will implement strategies and guidelines developed by the Ministry of Education and Research, and follow up on and develop initiatives from the education and research sectors.
Unit has approx. 200 employees. It is headquartered in Trondheim’s Teknobyen, and has a branch office in Fridtjof Nansen’s vei in Oslo.
